Willmot Public School was built in 1973 on Dharug land on the western edge of the Mt Druitt District. Since this time, it has been very much a community school. Many parents were once Willmot students. The school is committed to: providing a safe, caring and self-disciplined learning environment which is fair to all students; maintaining a school culture that is tolerant, innovative and collaborative; establishing strong learning foundations focused on literacy, numeracy and familiarity with technology; and implementing quality assessment and reporting processes. The school values parent involvement and participation in school activities both inside and outside the classroom. Willmot Public School competes and performs successfully in the district sport and public speaking competitions and in dance and choral festivals. The P&C Association strongly supports school programs.
